Meet Dan DeLong
What is your job title and how long have you been working in hearing healthcare?
I am the Founder and President of Natural Hearing Centers as well as a state-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. I’ve been in the industry for 21 years.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that I truly get to watch lives change right before my eyes on a regular basis. Watching someone reconnect with a loved one – like being able to hear a whisper from their grandchild – never gets old!
How did Natural Hearing start?
I began my hearing healthcare career 18 years ago in Utah as a regional manager for a hearing aid manufacturer. I spent nearly a decade traveling around the nation, helping other hearing aid dealers with their businesses, before eventually being relocated to Arkansas. At that point Angela had just given birth to our fourth child and we were ready for a change of pace. It didn’t take long for us to decide that Arkansas is where we wanted to call home. So, in 2010 I took a leap of faith and purchased a hearing center in Hot Springs – what would become the first Natural Hearing Center.
Tell us about your family.
I’ve been happily married to my wife, Angela, for 24 fun-filled years. We have 2 daughters, 2 sons, and 2 dogs that keep us on our toes.
What do you like to do for fun?
All things outdoors and anything to do with water. My top three would be mountain biking, wake surfing, and CrossFit. I also love to eat BBQ. But I’m kind of a BBQ snob and think my “Dan D Que” is the best.
Tell us an interesting/incredible/funny fact about yourself.
I once caught an 8-foot shark with my bare hands while on a snorkeling trip in Belize.
Do you have a picture or video of yourself with this 8-foot shark or do we have to take your word for it?
You can ask my parents, Angela, or any of the other 20 tourists who were with us.
You're always welcome
Our team is always ready to help with whatever you need, from routine checkups and cleanings to complete audiometric testing. Our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way.
