Meet Bekky Bailey
What is your job title and how long have you been working in hearing healthcare?
I’m a state-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and I’ve been working in the industry for 23 years.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the moment at the fitting session when the person hears family for the first time, or their favorite song with the instruments they haven't heard in a while. I love the tears of joy that I get to share with them at the moment their life is changed.
What is your approach to providing great hearing healthcare?
My oldest son was fit with hearing aids at the age of 7. From that moment on better hearing became my passion. I have now seen it from all sides – My son wears hearing aids, my father has worn hearing aids since he was 40, and for the past 3 years I myself have worn hearing aids. It goes without saying, but I fully understand the impact hearing loss can have on a person’s life. So to answer the question, my approach to providing exceptional care is simply to empathize with people. It’s what makes me great at what I do.
Tell us about you and your family.
I have 2 grown sons and a little Pomeranian named Macie, my pride and joy.
What do you like to do for fun?
My hobbies are reading and spending time on the water with my Macie. She’s a river rat!
Do you have any accomplishments or associations you would like to highlight?
I have been honored to win the “Best in NE Arkansas” award and be voted “Best Hearing Center” both 3 years in a row. I am a Board Member for the Arkansas Hearing Society and also a member of the International Hearing Society.
