Meet Kerry Shuffield
What is your job title and how long have you been working in hearing healthcare?
I’m a National Board Certified, state-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and I’ve been working in the industry for 9 years.
What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to meet the physical needs of my patients which has an immediate and direct impact on their lives. I serve Hot Springs, my hometown, and the surrounding areas. I love being able to help people that I have known all my life – people that know my family or my husband's family. I also enjoy getting to meet new people everyday.
What is your approach to providing great hearing healthcare?
First and foremost, I listen to my patients’ concerns. Once I understand their hearing loss, lifestyle and how physically and socially active they are, I’m able to pair them with the products that will best work for them. Another aspect is making sure to check for any insurance benefits or discounts that may be available to each patient so that I can ensure they are not only getting the best product, but also getting it at the best price.
Tell us about your family.
My husband Mark and I recently celebrated our 30th anniversary! We have 2 sons we are very proud of and our dog, Lulu.
